Ringcentral Faxes
We have a service from RingCentral that costs us nearly $60 / month. We use this primarily as a service to convert a fax into an email that goes into our Gmail (HPCbolingbrook@gmail.com) as a PDF. These messages are checked and responded to. Either printing them such as tests and adding them to a chart. Or taking the pdf file and atttaching into EMR.
Today we had a problem where the fax sender such as hospitals, labs, referrals etc were getting a voicemail box when they tried to fax to 630-378-4480. This number 630-378-4480 is an ATT line that we pay a fortune for. And then we forward the calls into this fax line from Ringcentral 630-299-4670.
The RingCentral people did some thing on their end that enabled the voicemail on this line.
On calling Ringcentral people Jekyll took my call and add a voice line (630) 230-8606 and took the faxline 630-299-4670 off the voicemail answering rule. This solved the problem.
Going forward it is not very easy to diagnose the problems, the office staff called comcast and they have no clue. Even RingCentral folks took 20 mnutes to fix this. The last resort is to take the 630-378-4481 line from comcast and plug that directly into the fax machine without the call forwarding into the 630-299-4670. This might temporarily help fix the problem. But then the fax to pdf and fax to EMR will become a problem.
