Problem: I suddenly saw all my music dissappear from my IPhone.
Situation: Today as I connected my IPhone to the car BlueTooth, and tried to play some podcasts I suddenly saw there were no podcasts, No Music and no other digital content. The phone was worling fine. So I decided to go back home and check on my kitchen computer to see if there was a problem. I saw several things amiss, the drive letters mapping to the NAS and HIPServer were different, I saw a W, X letters mapped and Y was missing or not working and Z was not working. The master bedroom did not have power, and the circuit breaker in the basement had tripped for the master bedroom fuse.
Root Cause: The primary issue was that the NAS server was not powered on due to being in the bedroom and so not reachable. This caused the drive letters Y and Z to fail. And the music in the Itunes as not showing up properly as well as not showing the locations of the files. Funny why Itunes does not show were the file resides if it loses connection to the drive.
Solution: Power the circuit breaker back again. Go back to the NAS server and make sure it is running or power it on by the switch in the front. Next go back to the PC and make sure the drive is mapped correctly to the correct letter. And then restart the Itunes and connect the device to sync. This should solve the problem.
