As explained in my previous post of Apple Suppport, I was fortunate after some travails to get a new phone. Here comes the problem.Problem: The WiFi on my home network server LinkSys does not connect to IPhone, I get a message saying Cannot Connect to WiFi.
Situation: This happened with my old IPhone for a long time. Till I updated to the 2.1 and it immediately connected. When I got the new phone the same problem cropped up, but could not fix it for several days. I believe Wifi is a little flaky on WiFi, It is probably not so much that the code might not be higher quality it could be that it is less tolerant of bad implementations of the Wifi Authentication or connection chat that needs to be done before accessing the network. Guess!
Solution:After couple days of trying I decided to do something different. I went to the access list of the Wireless Network Access List and listed the MAC address of the Iphone device at the bottom of the network access list. I saved it and tried to reconnect it worked fine.
Root Cause: I believe that if I inserted thenew MAC address inbetween an existing list it might not work. I am not sure but this worked when I added it to the end.
