I purchased the IPhone 3G when it was released, essentially for the enterprise features, Microsoft Exchange Server Email and fast browsing. Primarily more than the technology it was the applications and the responsiveness of the applications that made me buy this phone. To just share my apathy for AT&T I had waited for 7 years till number portability act came to leave AT&T. I came back for IPhone what a mistake.
The email on IPhone in 2.1 Iphone software does not work. This happened since the ITunes 8.0 and ITunes 2.1 software. Being technically savvy I tried restarting, re initializing the phone, restoring deleting all applications and all media content. Essentially made the phone as bare metal and still the email stops working after two hours.
Called the Apple Care had a great person help through all she could, including reach out to the product manager. After they realized what I went through the advice from the product management was to talk to my IT department. When I said that I am working with my IT department, they asked me to go to Microsoft. This is absolutely shameful. Customer experience is completely lacking. When I asked for a replacement or atleast a loaner when they can figure this out, there were completely blank faced about this.
They have my money, Tied me for 2 years and spending 2000$ on this and this is what Apple and AT&T treat me like. They cant even fix my phone and want me to keep trying.
Currently my after 11 reinitializing of my phone I am trying to run the email without google mail, and any applications. Just to see if those were in anyway interefering with the system.
I need a fix and apple does not own up to the fix.

So far this seems to be working this is almost 4 hours. I have not installed any apps. Just an hour back I had enabled the WiFi on the phone it works.
